1. Halle Berry

Oscar winner Halle Berry lost nearly 80% of her hearing in her left ear resulting from a blow to the head during a domestic violence incidence in a previous abusive relationship. Ever since the incident in 2004 she has worn hearing aids.

2. Bill Clinton

In 1997, at the age of 51, former President Bill Clinton was fitted with completely-in-the-canal hearing aids while he was still in office. His hearing had progressively worsened throughout his adult life, most likely as a result of age coupled with too much exposure to loud music.

3. Millie Bobby Brown

The star of Netflix’s popular show, Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown was born with partial hearing loss in one ear. Several years after she was diagnosed, she completely lost hearing on that side. The young actress also experiences episodes of vertigo. She has been wearing hearing aids since 2007.

4. Whoopi Goldberg

Academy-award winning actress and comedian Whoopi Goldberg wears hearing aids to help her hear low-pitch sounds. She attributes her hearing loss to years of listening to music too loudly and closely to her eardrum.

5. Derrick Coleman

Derrick Coleman is currently the only Deaf player in the NFL, as well as the first Deaf offensive player in NFL history. Derrick Coleman was born with a genetic abnormality that caused complete hearing loss when he was only 3 years old.
