In the midst of the international excitement surrounding the birth of the future king of England, Action on Hearing Loss recently sent a state-of-the-art video monitoring tool to Prince William and Kate Middleton in honor of the birth of their son, HRH Prince George of Cambridge.

Video monitors are very popular amongst parents with hearing loss, as well as those without it, as they feature a built-in camera and screen that allows parents to both see and hear their child when they are not in the room.

An additional safety measure for parents with hearing loss is a vibrating pad that can be synced to some monitors. Placed under a pillow, the pad alerts the user to the child’s movements through vibrations and flashing colored lights during the day.
